Photography is a recent path for me. From 1999 - 2009 I was an actor in film, tv and theatre when I suddenly decided I had had enough of castings, auditions and waiting by the phone! My wife and I decided to take 3 months in The French Pyrenees to kick back and see where we were going and just for a bit of fun I bought my first DSLR. What started as an enjoyable hobby has turned into my life and my living in the best possible way. When I first became serious about photography, I decided I didn’t want any training (I had already trained for 4 years as an actor and theatre director) and I didn’t want any rules, I wanted to make my own mistakes and learn from them and be able to take the pictures that might not be in the textbook, something that I’ve pigheadedly pursued..! The breakthrough for me was discovering HDR (high dynamic range) photography and what you can do by blending multiple exposures together creating vivid colours and bringing out all of the textures available in a scene - I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as I enjoy making them.
